I just made a box cake with the cake extender mix and then poured it all into a 9 x 13 pan (2 inch deep) at 350 degrees how long should I bake it? The box say 35-38 minutes, but is it correct to assume it should be longer because of the added ingredients?
I also put a flower nail in the middle just in case so it doesn't come out raw.

yes, you will need to bake it longer - check it after about 45 minutes. I also turn the oven down to 325.

my oven is so unreliable that I make sure that I check on my cake about 1/2 way and turn it while I have the oven open anyway. Depending on how it "looks" at 1/2 way I determine how much longer to bake it.
