I'm making an anniversary cake for my husbands aunt and she LOVES chocolate. I was gonna make a small 2-tier cake. I wanted chocolate cake with a rich chococlate filling, then I was going to pour chocolate glaze over the entire cake and then do piped white chocolate swirls on the entire thing. I've read the recipes from here but they aren't quite...chocolate enough for her. icon_smile.gif

Does anyone know any RICH chocolate cake, BC and filling recipes?

And can you use "Better than Sex" chocolate cake for this?

THank you!! icon_smile.gif

the one on the back of the hersheys can is good. I find the most chocolate tasting cakes have some form of coffee in them, you can't taste the coffee but it helps somehow inhance the chocolate flavor. For the filling I would use a chocolate mousse. Alton Brown's recipe on www.foodnetwork.com is excellent. (you don't have to use the alcohol mentioned if you don't want to) I love chocolate ganache but you said you wanted a choc. BC recipe correct? I haven't made choc. BC yet so I'll let someone else help you out there. good luck and make sure to post a pic.

I made the killer chocolate cake and torted into 4 layers. Then, used Nutella mixed with regular buttercream as a filling between 2 layers and ganache as the middle filling. Then iced in white buttercream and covered the top of the cake with the remaining ganache. It was wonderful. If you didn't want to use the white buttercream, you could use chocolate instead. I like the Chocolate Syrup Buttercream in the recipe section the best. It is very creamy and delish!!
