Cake Pan Question

hello...i just received (birthday gift) 3 nine 1 1/2 inch cake pans...my problem is the sides are not really straight...they kind of open up on the sides...will i have a problem when i stack them up?? do i have to trim the sides to make them straight??

it's the wilton checkerboard cake pan. thanks in advance icon_smile.gif

Sorry, but my Wilton checkerboard cake pans are straight.
I think you would have a problem stacking as they will bell out and I personally hate trimming sides!

Yeah I think that would be a big problem can you return them for a new set,, a straight set.. thats kind of weird that they wouldnt be straight the only pans I know of that are not straight are pie pans..

My checkerboard pans are straight too. Sounds like you got some 'defected' ones. Hopefully you shouldn't have a problem exchanging them. Good luck!

You have deep dish pizza pans, not cake pans. icon_smile.gif

I would also return them. I have some of the wilton pans that I got long ago with the flared edges. When I use these (which is not often!) I have to freeze the cakes, then stand them on their sides to trim the flare off of the sides. PITA.
