I bought some Lorann Almond Oil Flavor. The label on the back says it contains "artificial flavor," but then in parenthesis it says "(This flavor is also known as Almond Oil Bitter)." icon_confused.gif Does anyone know if this flavoring may cause problems for people eating the cake that may have nut allergies? I bought it thinking it was artifical flavoring, but now I'm so confused!!!

Thanks for your help!

Incase anyone is interested, Lorann Oils responded back to me today. Here is the email:

"Thank you for your interest in LorAnn Oils. The Almond Oil Bitter is
just a name of the Almond Oil that you CAN eat. Almond Oil sweet is the
kind that you would use in Massage. That is the difference. None of
our products contain nut or nut products. At the same time we can not
guarantee that in there whole manufacturing life that they have never
came into contact with these items. Attached is that allergen report
for the Almond Oil."

I have the allergen report if anyone would like to see it. Thanks JanH for the contact info.
