HI, I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY ON HERE SELLS LONGABERGER BASKETS LIKE ME??? i HAD MY FIRST SHOW TODAY AND IT DIDN'T GO SO WELL. IT WAS FOR A CHARITY EVENT. I DIDN'T SELL ANYTHING. THE LADY THAT WAS OVER THE EVENT DIDN'T PUT IT IN THE PAPER AND HARDLY ANYBODY SHOWED UP. I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SEE IF ANYBODY ELSE WHO IS SELLING LONGABERGER IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AT CHARITY EVENTS. THANKS
cakegirl0315, lonagberger basket our hand made in the U.S.A.They are the best baskets ever. It is a family owned business. the basket our alittle pricey, but your buying hademade products that last forever. And if you ever want to get rid of them you will always get your money back for them. They really last forever. The longaberger family has an amazing story of how the Longaberger business got started. If you want to know more just pm me and I'll till you the story. Longaberger also sells pottery, jewery, liners , protectors for your baskets, food items, purses, and more. The baskets have been on barney, friends, the stepfords wifes, and others. thanks for asking. They really our the best baskets ever.
Oh, my gosh! I am a basket freak!!
I made my first, but not last, trip to the big basket in the sky this past summer. If there was anywhere I had to live, it'd be Newark!
I don't sell, I just buy every month! I actually have a good freind that sells, my mother, sister and me make up an order every month! I am actually fixing to go to a party tonight.
I have sold Pampered Chef and all I can tell you is to stick with it. It takes time to build your business, much like this business. Baskets are kinds hard to sell since they are pricey, you have to find a group that really likes them. I know it took my freind several months to really get us all hooked. Maybe with the holidays coming, you could run an ad in the local papers?
I wish you the best!
Good Lcuk- Katie
P.S. - I'm so glad to know that there are basket nuts on here with me! ![]()
I sold.... and I was a basket freak....but because there are so many consultants out there it was way too hard for me to sell. Everyone had their consultant that they worked with and it wasnt profitable for me either..... and since I was moving to Germany at the time we couldn't sell them over there I stopped selling them and got away from it. I have sold some of my baskets and have a few others that I am gonna do as well.... and speaking for Pampered Chef..... I have 97% of the book..... love it too...... anyway, stick with it for a while ( I sold for 3 years) .... you will get customers.... good luck!
By original you mean....J.W.'s ?? ![]()
I have a good friend that just recently got into Longaberger and they went to the festival at Pegion Forge, Boyds Bear Factory. She joined the Collectors Club to get a chance for a Tammi Basket and she actually got it! Everyone was telling how lucky she was and this and that and then when she went to make her basket for her kids she asked the man helping her what was so special about Tammi? She didn't know that she is the owner, Dave's daughter! It was so funny!
I have been recently thinking about purchasing a few of the miniture J.W.'s. I have a friend wanting to sell several of them.
I would for sure get some of those mini's. They are so cute. I have 2 baskets signed by Tammy and 1 signed by Rachel and Wendy (Dave's sister). I went to the Bee this year. I just wish more people would buy them here. I have another charity event coming up and I hope I will do better at this one.If not I will have to quiet doing the charity events and I hate that because the charitys really need help here. But any of the JW's you should for sure get. Thanks guys for all of the the replys.
