How Far In Advance Can You Make Buttercream Roses?

I know I saw somewhere on this board that you can make the buttercream roses and freeze them. Can someone tell me if this is so and how far in advance can you make them? Thank you so much.

Yes, you can freeze buttercream roses. I've done it before when I had extras. As far as how long before, I'm not real sure because I used mine within a week for another cake.
