I am searching to get the diamond pattern cake mats to use on a fondant wedding cake. Anyone know a website or the proper wording to search for this? I don't know if I am typing in the right product. Thanks for your help! princess.gif

How do you use the mat? Do you put the fondant on the cake and press the mat against it? Or do you lay the fondant on it and then apply to the cake. Seems like better sense to do it after it is on the cake. Also...when you use fresh flowers on a cake...you don't stick the stem into the cake do you? Thanks for your help again!

Can I do this by hand with a ruler, or do I need to get the mat? Any advice you could give me would be wonderful. Thank you.

I'm sure you could do it by hand, but I think with the mat you get a more even pattern, and it's a whole lot faster. They are only like $5.00 to buy. Not spendy.

Probably, but you may have to pay an extra customs fee.

I bought mine at earlenes cakes and have enjoyed using it on buttercream and fondant.
