I was just wondering if I have to crumb coat my cake before I pour the ganache over top. Thanks for the help. ![]()

I usually put chocolate icing under my ganache. Ganache is alot like fondant in that it will show everything. If you torted your cake and there is a gap where you filled it, then your ganache will show that gap.
You want to make sure your cake has a smooth surface to start with, so I do think that atleast a crumb coat really helps.
