I know this is probably a dumb question, but I was wondering what the easiest way was to roll fondant into an even circumfernce rope. Thanks for any help.

I was hoping somebody would come up with a good answer to your question, so maybe I could learn too! LOL This is something I've yet to master, mine usually has some waves in it, another reason I've been wanting to get even a cheap extruder (like for clay) so I could have that nice smooth look.

Yes, a clay gun or extruder. Unless you have a really good eye it is almost impossible to roll a rope of fondant evenly if it is very long.

Oh, I am glad I asked. It's something new every cake. SO I have a cookie press. I may give that a try and see if it helps. Thanks so much!!

Go to Earlene Moore's website. She has a tool you can use along with Wilton's cookie press. This cool little tool will enable you to make ropes as long as you need them. I bought one but haven't played with it yet. Here's a link:

What about investing in a pasta machine. I know alot of people use them. I don't know sizes for them but it was a thought.
