Hi everyone....I have to make a 12x18 birthday sheet cake for Sunday, Sept. 2. Can I make it Friday?
The order is white cake, whipped cream (stabalized) frositng; strawberry filling with real strawberries for one layer; whipped cream frosting and strawberry frosting fot the other layer.
And to top it off I have to incorporate Dora the explorer and the transformers. SO, basically its a cake for a girl and boy in one. ![]()
Can someone please help me! with the recipes and if you should have any setup for the designs. All help is welcomed.
Thank you,
Andayol
If you are using fresh strawberries in it, I would not assemble it that early. Strawberries tend to "weep" and the extra liquid can cause problems in your fillings, etc. Do you absolutely need to put it all together on Friday? Or could you not use the fresh strawberries? If you don't, it should be fine for Sunday.

im with the other CC'ers fresh strawberries should not be left out and as far as the decor i would do one side of the cake Dora, and then the other one in the transformers, maybe take and do a border to separate them. Thats all i can come up with most kids dont like fresh strawberries in cake the ones i know dont at least, good luck
Thank you,
