I'm guessing it would take a lot longer, but figured I'd ask to see what some people's experiences have been!

I'm a little worried, I'm trying to make my first bigger cake, so I have a ton of questions!!

Thanks to you all...this site is the best!!

I bake 2 9x13's often, and never have a problem. Just make sure you space them apart, so that the heat can get to them evenly.

what are you trying to do...put 2 batches of cake in the 13*9 pan?? i am a bit confused...but if that is what you are doing....it can be done...just collar the pan with parchment paper to make it taller...if you dont the cake will spill over the sides and ruin it and make a big mess.

I have a similar question, Can you bake 2- 9'' rounds on the top shelf of the stove and bake another cake at the bottom?

licia - I always do 2 9" rounds on the top shelf and have great results - I swear by bake even strips - they always help them turn out great!

Yes, I'm trying to bake 2 cakes at the same time - 2 9X13 pans on the top shelf - I already put them in and they seem to be doing well right now - so far that is icon_lol.gif

jessieb578,

I don't know if I am misunderstanding your response, but I am asking is it okay to put 2 rounds on the top and a\\an additional cake(s) on the bottom

Ohhhh, geez, I'm not sure....I would say why not - Maybe half way through rotate the one on the bottom with one on the top, so they bake evenly and watch your time. Make sure to test it to be sure they're cooked all the way through! Best of luck! icon_smile.gif

oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...now i am clear. as long ans there is space on he rack and the cakes are not too close it can be done.

i dont have two shelfes in my oven...just one...go figure....but i wouldnt use the bottom shelf to bake a cake....its too close to the bottom of the oven and will not bake properly.

i do multiple cakes on multiple racks. usually just takes a little longer. be sure you do the toothpick test to see if they are done.
