Hello fellow CC's.

This year will be the first time I will submit somthing into a fair and as I read the directions it is not very clear can you guys clear some stuff up for me.

1. In the non decorated section but in the cakes from scratch section it says Cakes, unfrosted chocolate - Really unfrosted? Does this mean no center filling either?
2. Cakes, unfrosted Whoopie pies -isn't this a contradiction in terms? How can you have a whoopie pie without filling
3. Wedding Cakes - three tiers only_ Does this mean 12, 10, 8 or can I double up on each size like I would normally for a cake?
4. Here is the description between anyone cakes and advanced cakes -
Anyone, Age 13 and over cakes and decorations must be completely edible. or Advanced cake decoration foreign techniques are acceptable. Tulle, dummies, wiring, etc. are permissible - Question do you think they think foreign techniques are fondant and wouldn't be allowed on the anyone cakes?
5. Really dumb question what is the diffrence between Quick bread vs yeast bread. - Don't say yeast. I make an awesome banna nut bread with bisquick as my flour would that be considered a box mix?

Thanks so much!

1. No idea what is meant by "unfrosted chocolate". Dusted with powdered sugar? I wouldn't think it means no filling. (?)
3. I would think it means just 3 tiers allowed, 4" typical height per tier.
4. It looks like you could use fondant in the "Anyone" cakes, since it is edible.
5. Quick breads, to me, means something like banana bread, pumpkin bread, etc. (Sorry...it would mean no yeast!) Using bisquick for your flour shouldn't classify it as from a box mix.

Is there anyone you can get clarification on these issues? Sure sounds confusing!

Good luck!
