My mmf is a disaster. It is the consistancy of mashed potatoes. It will hold a ball shape, but if you try to stretch it or roll it out, it crumbles, yet it is sticky.

What do I do? I need to finish this cake for tomorrow.

did you add the initial water with the marshmallows when they melted or after - i accidently forgot to put it in with the mm and mine was really grainy and lumpy. no suggestions on how to fix it though...it would be great if someone does - i have the same problem tonight

Try putting some Crisco on your hands and keep kneading it, sounds like it hasn't blended well yet.

I added the water to the marshmallows when I was melting them.

Someone in another thread suggested adding more water and / or crisco. I did both (one at a time)... It is just a blobby, sticky mess...

I am about ready to scrap it and buy some Wilton... It is just for decorations anyway.
