can you melt the marshmellows, add your color and use the dough hook in the kitchen aid to mix in the powdered sugar? to save yourself the kneading?

Yes, that's what I do. I add about half the sugar and mix with the regular paddle. Then I switch to the dough hook and add the rest of the sugar. It mixes in just a couple of minutes. Super easy & super fast! Just remember to grease the hook and the bowl!

I am still pretty new to this but that is what I have been doing and it seems like it has turned out alright, however, I read on a previous post that others don't like the way it turns out when you use the dough hook... I only use the dough hook for half the receipe. The first half of the powdered sugar I use the paddle.
