Please Help... Ice Cream Cake??

I have an Ice cream cake due Sunday. My friend wants one layer ice cream and one layer cake. But what do I frost it with? Please help and thanks so much.

I have made an ice cream cake before with cake layer on bottom, then ice cream. (I slice a slightly softened box of icecream into squares, lay them on top of the cake, smooth together, then refreeze for awhile.) I have frosted this cake with whipped cream and then used bc for accents and decor.
