Does anyone know how many cake balls a box of cake mix makes? I use a doctored cake mix recipe. I've only used balls from scraps. How many would I need to make for a function of 40 ppl that includes other food?

Does anyone know how much melting choc. I need per cake mix?

TIA

I thought they were suppose to be about 1 in. in diameter. I think I will use a small melon ball scooper to get them all the same size.

any approximations on how many a box of cake mix makes??

I used a doctored cake and came out with around 60 cake balls. Mine were 2 tbsp worth for each ball. Not sure on how much chocolate you'll need since I froze mine and just pull some out as I need them. HTH

I bake off a 8x3 and get about 80 one inch cake balls. Straight mix no doctoring.
I add mini chips and buttercream and a bit of coffee creamer.
