I just got one with the 50% off coupon at Hobby Lobby and wanted to know if there is anything I can do to make it so my cakes will be more secure?

I would use that non-sliding shelf liner you can get at walmart...I didnt buy the tilting turntable...I bought the wilton professional one...but I always put some of that liner on top.

I put a rubber slipmat on top of it, have not lost a cake yet (though I have had my cake slip off the cake board) The cakeboard stayed put on the turntable. Does this make any sense? icon_confused.gif

Thanks - that was basically what I had in mind, I just wanted to verify my idea. Now for stringwork!

Rubber slip mat or some frosting if you don't have a mat handy.

might I just mention this word of caution regarding this equipment. I have one too, and while I love the idea of it, be very careful. The top had a fairly good grippy top and the cake board will stick to it fine. The problem I find is that the CAKE slides OFF the BOARD icon_cry.gif ! So my advice is to not tilt it to full capacity. Both times I have done this I have been very close to loosing the cake and I have to "shake" the cake down back into position.
