Does anyone have any kind of instructions on how to make fondant/gumpast palm trees? I need to do a tropical themed cake with two palm trees on the top.

Thank You.

in my oics is a picture of the palm trees i made for a jungle cake. I taped three cookie sticks and one skewer together to make the center support. left the skewer a few inches out the bottom so it could be pushed into the cake. Used green and brown mmf with tylose powder. Cut ittle circle sout of brown and glued them around the support with piping gel. started at the top and worked my ay down. for the leaves i just used the wilon leaf cutter and then veined them with a knife so i coul cut through the ends of some to give them movement. took a while but i think they turned out great. hope that helps

I recently did two beach cakes both had palm trees. I took gumpaste, colored it brown, rolled it to the length and thickness I needed and then stuck a toothpick in the bottom. I flattened the top of the truck a bit too. Then I made leaves and glued them on to the tree. Easy and cute but you need a way to stand the tree up while it all dries.
