Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Lisa and I'm married to a US Marine and we are stationed in Okinawa, Japan. I have always thought cake decorating was fun but finally decided to take classes so my cakes didn't look so amature. lol I am in course I of the Wilton classes and next week will be the final class of that course then I'm on to course II. I have every intention of taking course III. So far, it's been great fun learning the techniques and making the cakes. I don't need to eat a lot of cake but if it is in my house I will so my husband takes them to work. He tells me they only last a few minutes. That's good news for me because that means I can make more cakes for practice because as they say, practice makes perfect and our teacher always tells us to practice, practice, practice! ![]()
Anyway, that's enough for now. I look forward to getting to know you all and posting with you. ![]()

Hi and Welcome Lisa,
Nice to have you with us ![]()
The warning about this site being addictive is accurate.
Reminds me of "the hotel California," where you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave...
I'm also married to a marine, although he's not been active since the 60's.
Think you will really like this site
Someone's usually available any time as there are so many members, from all over the world ![]()
Look forward to reading your posts and seeing your cakes!

Hi Lisa!!
Welcome to Cake Central!!! It's a wonderful place!!
Welcome to CC Lisa....
We are Team morningglories. My 22 DD and I share this membership, but I'm the one always on the comp. She enjoys browsing the Galleries in search of inspiration and I enjoy getting to know everyone. All the cakes in our Gallery are hers. She likes creating cakes for others, I make them for home. We did all 3 courses over the summer and had a great time. I'm sure you will enjoy Course II & III as much as you did Course I. Lots of Marines in this family too. My BIL is currently stationed in Okinawa, but my sis and their little ones are still in SC. He sent me some pictures, and I must say it is very beautiful there. Well there's a little info on us. So happy to meet you and we'll see you around.
