I was making a batch of sugar cookies yesterday and I can't believe I actually ran out of flour. Needless to say I didn't want to go to the store for just 1/4 cup of white flour so I substituted whole wheat. That was just enough to change the taste ever so slightly. I kind of like it. Have any of you guys tried something like this???

I add oatmeal flour (finely ground oatmeal) when I bake quite often. People always notice that it tastes 'old- fashioned' but never realize why.
