I was trying out the bead maker to make a string of beads for a wedding cake, but it wasn't turning out like I wanted it to.. The weren't comming out in full beads, they had a line through it on both sides.

My bead maker also leaves the line. When you are putting the fondant into the bead maker, roll the fondant out into a thin snake. Open the bead maker wide and put the fondant in. Make sure fondant is pushed down in the give you the full beads. Press bead maker closed and use a small spatula to take off extra fondant. HTH.
