Cake Batter Experiment Worked!!

Well, since I tried the "add violet coloring to your buttercream to make it white" method which was superb, I got to thinking. Will that worked for cake batter also? And it did. Here's what I did.

I mixed my dry ingredients, then added my wet ingredients. Mixed until blended then added the violet food coloring a drop at a time and watched it lighted up! I wasn't sure how it would bake up, but it worked great. The cake was not as yellow as usual, but tasted the same. I think I could have added a bit more violet and it would have been much whiter, but I didn't want to chance having a grey cake.!! So for all those requests for white cake, here's a way to keep it moist, but change the color.

I'm going to try to attach a pic of the batter I took for you all to see.
