Could You Do A Cake Challenge? Long

Do you think you would have the stamina? I answered Moydear77 thread looking for a contestant and thought it would be fun. This is what I learned.
It was Cakes by Fhoa First Annual 2007 Hmong Cake Decorating Challenge. They were looking for an alternate because a contestant backed out. I had less then 24 hours to prepare and I finally agreed, because I didnt know if an opportunity like this would ever present itself to me again in my future. Four things I learned about my sugar art are:
I dont work well under pressure and make a lot more mistakes then normal.
I dont like to be rushed through tasks and prefer to be slow and methodical.
I prefer to take time in between tasks to reflect and make changes.
My health doesnt allow me to push so hard without consequences.
I do not like working in buttercream at all.
What I learned about Cake Challenges in general:
Being in extreme conditions (outside without comforts of running water) can make you physically ill.
TV cameras in your face can make you physically ill.
Looking up and seeing tons of people watching you can make you physically ill.
If you look up and see that one challenger is finished at the half way point you probably will become physically ill.
But I got my terrible monstrosity (and will never show the picture), to the table in one piece, came in second, regardless of being physically ill 
-had some fun (in between the bouts of illness), and met a ton of wonderful people!
I definitely know that I couldn't do it! I can barely decorate when my 2 year old is awake let alone with all of those variables thrown in!
Even if you won't show us, what was your design?

If you came in 2nd, it's definately NOT a "terrible monstrosity". Congratulations on a job well done!
By the looks of your other cakes, that had to be one amazing piece of art!
I LOVE watching the challenges, but I really and truly don't think that I'm cut out for one! lol
Nope - couldn't do it at all. I like to take way too much time to decide what to do on any cake I do - I could never make on the fly decisions that I would be comfortable enough with to leave them alone. 
I would always think of something better - right after finishing any small part. A border - I might be able to put a border on in the time period allotted. Do they have contests just for borders?
tiptop - i find it hard to beleive that your cake was a terrible monstrosity!
