Good morning all,

I just got this email. I sure hope that we don't have to deal with anyone this insane! Could you imagine what she would have offered us for payment of the wedding cake? Read the story on the following link, and you will understand what I am talking about.

Yes, that woman has a serious problem, emotionally. And, now. legally. What could have possessed her? (And, greatfully, the store people notified the authorities.)

Who sells wedding dresses on the street? This sounds like a very low-class neighborhood to me.......... selling children and buying wedding dresses on the street? I would assume she's not very educated and is probably in a pretty bad situation and doesn't really want the kids she has...... it's very sad. I feel very sorry for her....... and WHY is she getting a wedding dress anyway? Is she actually marrying the children's father or is she picking up the groom at the next local street vendor..... trading her other child for the groom??? It's just sick and sad.

man I think my kids are worth more than a portion of the cost of a wedding gown from a STREET VENDOR!!!!

My first thought would have been that she was joking! However, if the police took her seriously, then I guess she was. How very sad.

And she's from Iowa too, my home state.... good freakin' grief... Maybe she was joking? (bad joke I know), but who does something like that? I mean, if she did that, what is she doing behind closed doors and does her fiance not see this!

if she said this 2 times than I doubt she is joking! What a horrible human being, she does not deserve her kids and I hope the groom breaks up with the psycho or if they have kids, his may be next to be givin away for a cable bill. Goodness sakes, I need to go hug my little monsters now!

You know? She must be mentally ill. That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense of it because even a criminal mind would know better how to "sell" a child. Something isn't quite right upstairs and this incident probably saved those kids from who knows what... they will be messed up for sure (especially the older one), but at least their's hope now for these children... so sad...

All I can guess is that it is either some dress, or some kid!! icon_smile.gif

I can see the headlines now, once she gets the dress:

"Woman Postphones Wedding Until After Delivery" - I mean c'mon, how else will she pay for the cake? icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry, it's been a day. I couldn't stop myself...

Melissa,
Howdy neighbor! I grew up in Sioux City and now I live in Alexandria, VA. I thought the same thing when I read it, not IOWA! We're not all crazy icon_wink.gif .

Just look in her eyes, you can see that she meant every word of it, and that she "ain't quite right."

Now her wedding trouseau will be all in prison blue!

I have joked that I would be willing to give my kids away on occassion, but I wasn't serious!!!!!! icon_eek.gif What is the matter with this woman!!! And she's a fellow Iowan--please don't judge the whole state! We're not all wackos!

Okay I won't judge the Iowans (I'm sure I've spelled that wrong) if you don't judge the Kentuckians! Everytime someone from KY is on TV they seem to be toothless, shirtless, and living in a trailer.......... it's like they search these people out - or maybe they're the only ones stupid enough to talk to reporters (I hate to offend good reporters out there but I've learned that most reporters are evil and the best thing is to never talk to them - not one little soundbite). And it's only in the very very very rural areas of KY that people don't wear shoes and might end up marrying cousins........ same as any other rural area.... not just KY!

Okay I'll step off my soapbox icon_smile.gif LOL

And they always talk to reporters right after a big ol' twister hits the trailer park........not much damage though, 'cuz they didn't have indoor plumbin' to begin with. Just gotta tip the trailer back onto it's blocks and it's home sweet home again. Git R Done!
