My brother gave me an airbrush but I am unsure what to use. He told me I can buy cans of compressed air and use that. However my husband did some research and thinks maybe I shouldn't use that with cakes. For anyone out there that is airbrushing are you using a compressor or canned air? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much

I have an airbrush and have had it for a long time and have only just started to use it as I was scared of it. After reading on here I took the plunge and just love it. I bought it second hand and it had a cannister of compressed air with it but I purchased a small compressor and this works wonderfully. If you buy a compressor I think you have to think about the pressure it puts out (psi) as if it is too strong it will blow too hard on what you are spraying. Mine has the screw bottles but some just have the cups on the top. There are several posts on here about airbrushing.
Edited to add. I always spray at eye level and then the bottles or cup will not leak. Good Luck
