I got mine for $1.99/ 2ounce jar..these are the normal size jars.
They are selling them for $3.98/2 pack.
Luster Dust, NOT Edible Glitter. There is a huge difference.
I'm sure you know that already.. Decorating Stores will charge you twice as much. 
I read on sugarcraft that luster dust and petal dust although non-toxic is not labeled as edible only as decoration and to buy at your own descretion.
So can you use it?
If a cake decorating supply business sells it, then it is expected to be consumed. There has been sssoooo many debates on this in this forum in the past. I use it on my cakes and have not a single person die yet.
It's really up to you. If you're not comfortable, then maybe try something else. But I won't be worried about it, unless you bought it from a Framing Store and not a cake Supply Store.
