I know I have seen this in a post somewhere (like 1 cup marshmallows) but I cannot remember what the measurements for powdered sugar or water are.....

for the mmf recipe on here it would be about 1/2 the recipe if you are looking to use 1 cup of mm

so its

1 cup marshmellows (8 oz)
1tbls water
1lb icing sugar (approx 4 cups)

If you want to do less than this then maybe 1/4 the recipe.

I can understand the desire to make less MMF, one regular batch covers a lot of cake. I will say, though, it lasts forever in the fridge. I go ahead and make up a batch, use what I need, wrap the rest carefully and put it away. Later, when I need more, I warm it up a bit, slather my hands with Crisco and knead it. In just a little while I have a wonderfully smooth fondant, ready for the next cake.

The recipe that I use for a smaller batch is similar...

1 cup mini marshmallows (packed)
1 Tablespoon water (flavoring may be added before filling with water)
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

I usually add all the powdered sugar and then knead in more until it is a nice consistency.

I got this recipe from Bunnywoman off the Wilton site.

thanks everyone.....that is what i needed to know... I tend not to cover any cakes with MMF....I only use it for accent decorations...so a little goes a long way.

thanks for the info!
