I am using Wilton's white fondant to make some fall leaves for a cake that needs to be done on Nov. 8. How long can I store them and how do I store them? Also, if I used MMF, how and how long can I store it?

Thanks...it's the first time I've used any fondant, so I'm a little nervous!!!

Forever!! or longer

seriously. I made some roses two years ago, and I still have them, and plan on using them next week. As long as you store it in a dry dark place so they won't fade. They don't go bad. icon_smile.gif

Don't forget to add the Gumtex to the Fondant so it will harden and hold its shape - or they won't last that long.

OK--how long will they last without gumtex? I have a little one with strep throat and I can't get out to get any until tomorrw, but I was hoping to get started today. Thanks, again!!

I do not use or add Gumtex to my MMF...
I only do MMF, and they last for a veeeerrrrryyyyy long time.
Months and years. Don't worry about it. It does not have milk or any dairy product in it, that's why they last an eternity. icon_smile.gif

Does it need to be refrigerated?

No icon_smile.gif if it is all by itself and not on a cake.
