I am relatively new here, so forgive me if this has been asked 1,000 times, but I need to know what "size" a 1/2 sheet cake is supposed to be. I have had somebody request that & I don't want to undercut them! LOL icon_rolleyes.gif

I use a 12x18 as a half-sheet, a 11x15 is a 1/3 sheet and a 9x13 is a 1/4 sheet.

But you will find that people's opinion differ.

OK - thank you! I just had no idea! When you do a sheet cake, do you usually do just 1 layer or 2?

I usually do just one layer, unless the customer requests two layers or if you need to squeeze out a few more servings.

Here too. Also, a word of caution...half-sheets do not fit into regular size refrigerators so use a non-perishable filling. I found that one out the hard way! icon_cry.gif
