Help! Can You Do A Fbct With Rich's Or Pastry Pride?

Will a buttercream transfer work with Rich's bettercream?
I usually use buttercream icing for this put the customer wants whipped cream icing. I was going to try Rich's bettercream since it will be more stable than whipped cream but I need to make some transfers.
Anyone had luck with that? I don't want 2 different flavor icings on top of the cake.
Thanks.
Not sure about that, but here's a bump for you!
I use rich's all the time. I do not think it would work for a FBCT because rich's bettercream does not freeze.
When I put it on my cakes and put them in the freezer, the cakes do not freeze. The icing stays soft just like when I first put it in there.
Awww nuts!
I was hoping that would work.
How is the Rich's to decorate with? Can you do most everything you can do with buttercream (well, except the BCT)? Is it stiff enough to make roses and basketweave?
Thanks.
I like the Rich's Bettercream. I have done basketweave with it and it worked great!
Roses----Well, I have problems with roses anyway so I have not tried it!
But I can do anythin else with it.
I love it!
I found that if you use your regular buttercream for FBCT on top of the Rich's it tastes just fine.
i always decorate with buttercream on whipped cakes because you can get more vibrant colors. bettercream can only tint to pastels
I got my bettercreme to tint to a dark blue and a dark red without any problems.

How did the dark colors taste?
I just tried my first batch of Rich's and I had to use about 1/4 bottle of Americolor green to get it to a medium green. The taste of the bettercream is awful. Its leaving a real aftertaste and now I don't know if it's the Rich's that doesn't taste good or so much green gel color.
I'm at wits end with this whipped topping thing. I do fine with buttercream but I have someone insisting on whipped cream and wants me to be able to do full decorations with it. So even stabilized whipped cream is not an option....
I bought the already whipped. Not sure if that makes a difference but it didn't taste aweful or anything. No one complained.
Richs has a very nice flavor, but when you add alot of color to it , it will get airy and change the flavor. I have made Roses with this and it has worked fine, if you are mixing it from the liquid state, just be careful not to overwhip or is will get real airy and not pretty. If you overwhip, you can correct it by adding a little more liquid to it and blend it in until it is smooth again. It should have a nice peak to it but not real stiff. It will also do drop flowers. You can get the darker colors, just try not to overwhip it.
