i was making a superman and spiderman cake from the cake mold and i decided to trace the outline on wax paper and make it hard and my plan was to flip it onto the cake. well that TOTALLY did not work. my cakes were due this morning at 8 AM and i was doing this yesterday. I was racking my brain because i can NOT draw freehand whatsoever. SO i have so much fondant that i rolled it out thin and i traced it with a fondant tool onto the fondant then pricked the outline again with another fondant tool. (im new to all this btw). i cut the excess fondant off, iced the cake, and put the fondant "mat" on the cake and piped the outline and piped the rest. has anyone else ever done this before or am i lucky to be creative enough to think of it........LOL......anyway the cakes came out PERFECT. i tried to upload photos but it says they were too large.

Good for you - don't you just love it when you figure out a way around a problem?? Maybe some other cc'ers can help but I think there are some websites that will shrink your pics for you (I always just use photoshop myself). Good luck, you must get those pics up icon_smile.gif. And welcome to CC!

Sounds like a great idea! Welcome to CC-I hope to see your pictures soon.

I use FastStone Photo Resizer. It works VERY well and you can even put text or watermarks across your photos.

Good luck!
