Petal dust, luster dust, sparkle dust, shimmer dust...

What are the different uses for each and are they all safe to eat?

Thanks!

Petal dust is a matt finish dust color- some are listed as non toxic some are FDA approved. Of course the FDA approved are more expensive then the non toxic.

Luster and pearl dusts. Are a shimmery type of finish, usually listed as non toxic.

Sparkle dust- sorry i don't know anything about that.

Shimmer dust- is put out by wilton (so i think it would be fda approved) Its a thicker grain then the others and doesn't brush on as nicely with a soft brush as the other finer dust do.

I had never heard of it either until today. I was looking at caljavaonline.com and they have it.

Maybe it's their version of shimmer dust?
