Just wanted to brag on my daughter. She is 7 and made cookies to enter in the fair. They were called peppermint sandwich cookies and had pink filling with crushed peppermints in it. (she picked the recipe, it had a picture of bright pink cookies, I think that's why, LOL) A friend called from the fair to say she won a blue 1st place ribbon. (they tasted great btw)
And when we dropped them off to be judged a photographer took her pic with them and said she might be in the fair guide next year.
Oh and I won a 1st place blue ribbon for my dinner rolls too. I did some cookies as well but my friend forgot to look for them. Oh and a photograph I entered took a second place ribbon. : )
I am entering cinnamon rolls next week and a few other things. My son wants to enter some cookies, he is almost 5 and wants to make chocolate chip cookies. I will do the oven part and supervise the rest but he has to actually do it.
I should do a cake but am not going to. I will just be a witch for days over it and it won't be fun, LOL.
