Hi,

Well it is 2 o'clock in the morning and I have yet to finish my daughter's birthday cake. She wanted a crayon theme so I am trying to make a crayon box.

However.... my 15 month old continues to wake up wanting to nurse (yep still nursing) and won't go to bed without me. Won't stay in his crib or playpen wothout screaming bloody murder. I'm about to throw in the towel and get a carvel cake in the morning. (still need to color and put the fondant on it, make crayons etc.

Just needed to release the frustration I'm feeling. Don't want to disappoint my daughter but man am I tired.

(By the way I am a mother of a 9, 6, 4, and 15 month old who after a seven year hiatus has started making cakes again. Man am I rusty. I am sooo happy I found you guys. Not too many people I know share a passion for what I do and want to hear me talk about it icon_smile.gif You guys are awesome!!!!! thumbs_up.gif

Aww, hang in there! Can you go lay down with your 15 month old to a) let him nurse and fall asleep and b) get a little power nap?

Either way, good luck with your daughter's cake!

Thanks. I'll try the power nap and hopefully he won't wake up when I leave him. I believe he has an alarm that tells him when I'm gone icon_smile.gif

I feel your pain, my DD had that same exact alarm. You'll get there - but I sure hope you get a chance to get some z's too.
