Can you add it to mmf to get the same results that it provides for fondant?

Thanks! I needed to know because because mmf is cheaper to make than buying gumpaste and fondant. At my cake supply store the gumpaste and fondant cost the same amount as the tylose and the gum-tex and those things and it will last a lot longer. So I'm on my way to the supply store, which hardener should I buy to add to mmf or would fixedent work in mmf< That might be even cheaper. Fast replies needed. TIA

Sorry can't help you with the fixadent I only use tylose.

Maybe you should make your own gumpaste.....it dosen't cost nearly as much to make your own , its awesome to work with and a batch goes a long way ....Nicholas lodge has a great recipe.

good luck

I tried Nicholas Lodge's recipe on some gumpaste roses I made this past week. It worked great, inexpensive and easy to make. If you ever make it just be sure to make it 24 hours before you need it.

I agree with torki. I always make the Nicholas Lodge recipe and it is fabulous. I like it better than any other pre-made gumpaste. (And it is really easy to make)
