ok lolI was j/k about patenting it. anyway with my leftover ganache from my cakes today I took vanilla waffers put a small layer of peanut butter on the flat side then sandwiched a slice of banana between the 2 peanutbuttered waffers and dipped in ganache then put in fridge .... the kids loved them and personally I despise bananas and even I enjoyed these. Very yummy!
Oh and I experimented a bit and put fresh diced peaches into my remaining cake mix then mixed peach preserves into some ganache and used it as the filling, I covered the cake with buttercream and a healthy layer of ganache and OMG it is sooooooo good!
ok there are 30 readers and no replies ..... don't be reading and stealing my soon to be patented chocolaty peanut butter and banana treats! ![]()

Mine was the left over tops of a chocolate cake I'd baked. I put creme de cocoa syrup on the bottom layer then slathered it with chocolate ganache and caramel frosting. I topped that with another cake layer (these were to cut off scraps), more syrup, chocolate frosting and poured ganache over all of that. It was so rich and chocolately that I could only eat a couple of bites at a time. (So of course I kept coming back! lol)
Cool ideas! Fran that look's delicious! I remember as a child my mom used to give us bananas smothered in peanut butter! Yummy Then once I put the bannanas /peanut butterin a bowl and pored chocolate syrup over it...MMm..Fond memories .
My mom also had us try homemade whole Pickles with peanut butter on them and let me tell ya this combo might not sound appealing but it is great!! ![]()
