Our SF Bay Area Cake Club volunteers to bake cakes for kids in the foster care and court system. Some of the kids have never had a birthday cake. I am signed up to bake one for Sept. 7th, I'm excited! I just wonder if anyone else across the country could find out if they can start a similar program in their area. We get the info from the county and then drop the cake off to them, they get it to the child. Just a thought for those of us always looking for a reason to bake, and a great way to give you a "heart boost".

i love this idea!!! i currently bake cakes for low income brides in my area through a non-profit so this is right up my alley. i'm going to look into it!
