Whenever I use this tip I go along for a very short time and then it clogs - I have to either clean it or change tips. The last time I used it I switched off and when all my tips (all 2 - have since bought more) were dirty washed them all at once and began the cycle again. Anyone have the answer or does this happen to you?

I have never had that problem. Do you sift your powdered sugar? Have you tried thinning it some?

I've only used it with a fairly thin icing and I dont' recall it clogging. I've only used it about 3 times.

I love the grass tip and haven't had a problem with it. I would say if you make sure your icing sugar is sifted well and that your icing is not too thick you should be ok.

Maybe take the TIP SAVER and stretch out the holes.

When I use this tip I strain the icing thru a new knee high stocking (nylon) and then I don't have any problems. I do this for all small tips cause of the clogging issue. It is great for string work also. HTH

yeah LOL my kids were all like "Mommy, you gotta dress up for Halloween" 2 min. before we walked out the door to go trick or treating...so I went in the bathroom with some white halloween make up and some fake blood......added a little black eye liner....and you can't tell but I had my hair in a pony tail and had gauze wrapped all around my head with blood dripping out of my hair and stuff......lol My son who was 3 at the time starting crying "Daddy, mommy's hurt mommy's hurt" I felt bad icon_sad.gif but then he was okay once I showed him I was ok!! My DH thought it was great! He's really into Halloween lol He was dressed as jason from friday the 13th from the second movie when he had the pillow case on his head not the hockey mask (my DH is a huge horror buff) so I thought I'd try to look like one of his victims that got away lol

I haven't ever sifted my powdered sugar and haven't had a problem with clogging. I would suggest to thin your icing a bit more.

I have never sifted my powdered sugar - maybe that's it. Do you all sift yours when you are making BC icing?

If I thin the icing, I am afraid it will not stand up and have the grass effect.

Actually I sifted it this am for MMF. The last 2 times (well the only 2 times) I made it, it had lumps in it. This seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I only sift it if I'm using the grass tip or a tip 0 or 1 because I've had clogs before!
