I have a Salton mixer that is about a year old, I just noticed some spots of what looks like rust on the beaters. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know where I can find replacements in Canada? I did a web search but can't find anything.

I also have a KA 600 and I was wondering if anyone finds it a pain to scrape the bowl? Is there a trick to this? The paddle is so large it's a pain to scrape around it. Other than this though I love it!

do you put your beaters in the dishwasher?? This is common if you do (hey I do too) just take some steel wool or those s.o.s. pads and give them a good hand scrubbing with those.......should take the rust off!! I have to do this to mine about once ever 10 washes in the dishwasher.......also if you have a heat dry setting vs. air dry that helps.....the air dry (though it cuts down on power useage) can allow things to sit and be wet for too long causing the rust to form. Hope that helps. Even if you don't use the dishwasher.....use the steel wool.
