If your putting a border on the cake and also doing a cornelli lace pattern on the sides and top do you put the border on before or after piping the lace?

Thanks everyone!

When you do cornelli lace, you're not supposed to see where you start or stop, so I would do the lace, then the border.

I agree with everyone else... as a side note... the border is the last thing I but on 95% of the time... if I plan on doing a cascade of flowers or something then of course it goes on before.
