sorry if this is a repeat, but I was going to make a 9x13 cake and I want it to raise up high so I thought that I would try the extender. my question is can you just add an extra egg and pudding like I have read in other threads or do I need the one with sour cream etc.? thanks in advance icon_confused.gif

when i'm in a hurry all i do is add the extra egg and pudding and it works brilliantly! also substitue the water for milk, makes it taste so much better, don't know if you already do that or not. icon_wink.gif

I have tried just the egg and pudding and did not get much height, did get moist and yummy but no height.

Now, the next time I did do the extender, which made a lot more batter and that gave me height....plus 2 4 inch cakes. I would go with the extender, but I am NO expert icon_wink.gif I just experiment.

When i make a 9x13, I add a box of jiffy mix to it. And add the extra amounts that the jiffy needs.. works great!
