Hello everybody,
I'm doing this cake where I have to stack the 3-D ball cake on top pf an 8" round cake.
My question is how can I do that? If I put the ball on a 6" cake board...won't it show on the 8" cake?
Should I cover it with something??

Well...I'm all confused. Could somebody please help me in stacking a3D ball cake on top of a round 8" cake????

Thanks so much in advance.

OK, you have to remember that I'm a cake newb, and I've never done this before, it's just an ideaicon_smile.gif

I have made the 3D ball though, and just put it on a cake board, with the bottom a little trimmed to flat.

Trim off a little of the bottom of one of the halves of the ball.
That flat should sit nicely on the 8" round.
(If you need to stabilize for transport, I'd just cut a little piece of cardboard to sit underneath...that won't show in the 8")
A skewer or small dowel can go right through the top of the ball, through the next section, and into the 8" if you are worried about it moving.

Does that help?
Good luck!
