I made cakeballs for the first time today. I used the recipe on CC.
I followed the recipe, leaving the cake balls to sit for 2 1/2 hours. Then I dipped them in chocolate. After all is said and done my question is; are they supposed to be really moist inside? The texture was like a creamy peanut butter bon bon would be. Is this correct?

Thank you,

Lu

That sounds about right for consistancy. I just swore that I wouldn't like the "cake truffles" that everyone was raving about. Heck, I even made them and froze the batch for 10 days before coating them. I figured they would be ickky and I would end up throwing them away. Then, we DEVOURED them! WOW! I'm so totally addicted to cake balls that I bake cakes just to turn them into cake balls. (Actually, given all the problems I'm having with my DH mixes....too many of my cakes aren't turning out right anyway so I'm FORCED to make more cake balls! LOL
