I feel overwhelmed about where to read and post icon_surprised.gif . How do ya'll keep up with it?! I just started here and it took me all day to get on here (I'm on the road alot) and in trying to catch up on what's happening with ya'll I read here and there and barely scratched the surface of all the great stuff icon_cry.gif . Okay, deeeep breath, I'm fine now....
Whew-- Well, I may not know where to begin..yet...but in my wandering around here I did notice a couple of others as new as me, and I just want to say Welcome!! to jespooky and jamiesue. Is this place awesome or what! I look forward to learning and sharing along with ya'll.

Welcome, this place is awesome. Seriously, anything you ever wanted to know about cakes, cookies, icing, fillings, ect. you can find on here! I've learned more on this site in the past few months than I have since I took my first Wilton course 6 years ago. It's great!

Thanks guys!! Hey kiddiecakes--typing while driving-- what a great idea, would save sooo much time! LOL- just kidding! Even if it was legal, I can't even make a decent bc rose, so know I couldn't coordinate that icon_cool.gif . Anyway, jamiesue, are you scheduled to take a class soon? I hope you love it! I was sooo excited to be able to take classes. I have recently completed courses 1,2, and 3 and can't believe how much there is to learn about making great cakes. I can honestly say that I have learned just as much here as in classes though, but of course the classes offer the opportunity for hands-on which is so great. I am really looking forward to taking a class on gumpaste in January! I also took the courses with my teen daughter. It was so much fun and now we can help each other. Oh, sorry for rambling-- it's just nice to share with other enthusiasts icon_biggrin.gif .

Hi Janicemarie- I'm in Myrtle Beach, just recently moved here from Tenn. I'm a mountain girl at heart but I'm really liking it more and more here.

Hopefully after being here for awhile I will begin to feel at home, but for now this website is so large and so active that I would find it difficult to actually make cake friends here let alone keep up with the posts each day. You all seem friendly enough, just that it feels like being a stranger in a big city.

Hi ShirleyW- well, I'm just one li'l ol crumb in this cake city, but let me just say that I'm glad you're here. Your work is fabulous icon_eek.gif ! and certainly inspires me. I haven't read any of your other posts (that I recall right off), but no doubt here that you have much to offer and have likely shared of your expertise freely. Thanks cake-friend thumbs_up.gif .

I am going tomorrow to sign up for course 1. I have always been an avid baker and thought about taking a decorating class, but have 2 small kids and just haven't gotten around to it. This past weekend I made a castle cake for my daughter and had so much fun I decided to go for it. Not to mention I could use an outlet since I am a stay at home mom. Must go to bed b'c the little ones get up painfully early ugh!
