I started my business a couple years ago. I spent the first 6 months just practicing and getting the back end work set up. Then I did a year of shows and weddings. Then my husband got a job in another city 2 hours away and we were going to move. So I pulled all my advertising and was just waiting. Long story short...we never moved and I ended up have 2 babies in 2 years. So now that the babies are little older and we've decided not to move, I am going to start up my business again after the first of the year. I already have my first wedding after my break booked for Feb. I'm excited!

We've been working on my website which is a work in progress. But I'd love some feedback from people who won't be afraid to tell me they don't like something. LOL.

The link is www.everylastcrumb.com

Thanks!!!

my first thought is that the tab "occasional portfolio" sounds weird. like these are cakes you only do occasionally, instead of for occasions, lol. i also noticed the spongebob licensed character. i liked the overall feel of it though. the colors are very sophisticated and i like the photographs. i think you should add pricing information. this has been discussed before, but people will often skip over sites that don't list pricing and never call you. if you list your price and its too expensive for people, than you save yourself time and headache working with people who can't afford you. i also noticed you didn't mention any icings other than fondant, which you said is available upon request. i would mention something about the BC you use. really good direction your taking! i like what you've started! thumbs_up.gif

Great Job!! very classy looking. I think a customer who doesn't know cakes might not understand what "occasional portfolio" means and skip that tab, this was the only red flag I saw.

Good Luck!

I agree with some sort of pricing. I ran across a website for a bakery about an hour away from me and couldn't believe there wasn't even a mention of a price range. Nothing. Not a single mention of cost for anything thiing on the website! I wonder how much business they get and how much time they spend on the phone just answering pricing questions. I hate making phone calls, so I try and find all my info online before I have to pick up the phone. Maybe I'm just weird. icon_smile.gif

The set up of the website is very professional and I like that! Maybe change the "Occasional" tab to "Special Occasion".
