Fondant Cracks

I did a fondant cake(squared with bow) and I had a hard time keeping the mmf from cracking once dried! I added gum tex b/c they say it works, but yes, it was pliable, it STILL cracked on bow loop! What other alternative or addition should I do. I added enough crisco and such also!

Not an expert by any means, but I have read that people will add gumpaste to their fondant, or use gumpaste alone. Fondant is more brittle and more likely to crack. For the fondant gumpate mixture, you just use half fondant, half gumpaste mixed together. Otherwise, just straight gumpaste. Hopefully others who know more about this will chime in=) Jen
