It is horrible and i didn't know it and bought some now I have all this disgusting stuff and I can't put it on a cake. Not the way it tastes now. Has anyone ever succesfully masked the taste by adding flavorings if so what did you add and how?

I only use Wilton fondant for accents. I am sorry that I can not answer your question. I don't know if you can flavor it or not. I make MMF for now. I am looking for more fondant recipes. Good luck.

I've added almond, but it doesn't help it much. I don't think it's helpable.

That stuff shouldn't even be considered a food product. I use it for dummy cakes.

You ladies are funny, I am LOL at this thread. icon_lol.gif

I also only use it when in a pinch for accents and figures that I do not want eaten at all. It neesd to be labeled "for decorative use only".

I just saw on the wilton page that gives amounts of fondant needed for each cake, it can be flavored. it says wilton ready to use fondant has a mellow flavor but can be flavored using vanilla or butter kneaded in.

Mellow my @%^
