Did anyone watch Paula's new party show last week. I kept missing it and finally caught it. How disappointing! Why did she have to stoop to saying a word that had to be bleeped when she was talking about how good her chocolate gooey cake was. I believe it was the "F" word. I like the old Paul so much better. She also kissed the butter sculpture of herself on the lips. Maybe it shouldn't have but the whole show was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong. I like to look at nice looking young men as much as any other 56 year old does but the butter patrol or whatever she called them could have been left out. AND, PLEASE, someone tell her to take off those rings!
Ooohh... really? I haven't seen her new show but I love Paula! That IS disappointing!
I love her too and I am very disapointed in her new show.....seems like she is trying too hard. She just needs to be her sweet ol' southern self. Hope she doesnt turn into Racheal Ray...now that girl bugs me, she is the female Emirl (IMHO) ![]()
Oh I'm glad to hear someone else feels that way about Rachel Ray, she and Emeril and especially Sandra Lee just annoy me. I really enjoy Paula, she just seems down to earth, although I have yet to see her night time show. Between she and the boys I hope they don't burn themselves out with too many shows. I also like Ina Garten (The barefoot contessa) I like her personality and admire her relationship with her husband.
I have to chime in on this one. I am very disappointed in Paula's and rachaels show!!! I think they are both over done. I used to love the both of them but I think their shows are "forced" They don't act like themselves anymore
or what they portrayed anyway.
Don't even get me started on Sandra Lee ![]()
I didn't care for Paula's new show either. I thought it seemed forced also, but I still love Paula...some of my best loved recipes come from her! She reminds me sooo much of my grandmother and all of her sisters when they cook (they're all in South Carolina!) I personally can't watch Rachael Ray, she drives me NUTS with all of her little saying and her hyper personality. And Sandra Lee.....I agree with mnmmommy....don't even get me started! ![]()
I still like Paula too and I DO use a lot of her recipes. I agree that hers and RR's are forced. It makes me nervous to watch RR. She said one time that she drinks gallons of coffee all day. I believe it. Boy, when you make it in with Opra everything falls at your feet. Look at Dr. Phil. I love to watch Paula's sons. They are so cute. Paula has just lost her way and hopefully she will find her way back home again.
What a bummer! I love Paula Deen - she is always so darn chipper. Has anyone ever watched 'Chefography'? Where they do the bio on the Food Network chefs? Hers was so interesting. Evenmy duaghters love her and my 6 year old does a dead on impersonation - cracks me up every time!
Truth be told, when I first watched her show I was so grossed out at the huge bites she would take and then talking with the food in her mouth.....it still gets me sometimes. I have not watched the new show but I hope she doesn't change. Her natural personality is what sold her. And her son, Jamie, hot Damn! That boy is so cute with those little dimples....
I agree with the others.... Sandra Lee is known as the 'lush' in our house because of the cocktail with practically everything she makes ( I love it!!)
The thing that makes me want to barf, barf, barf is that her kitchen always matches her outifts and it is driving me crazy....that and the 'tablescapes' - gag!
RR - I don't really watch her but what is the thing about stupid good? I read a couple posts complaining about her sayings - I guess it's Yum-o or something equally silly........ my son loves her!
And her son, Jamie, hot Damn! That boy is so cute with those little dimples....
I know is he not a cutie? Hes single. I am too

I am not too sure that I like Paulas new show. She talks "dirty". I wish she would not do that ![]()
I love her & I subscribe to her magazine & its fantastic. I love her other shows.
mlynnb ~ her is the link to her magazine website. I have seen the magazine on many store racks (wal-mart, Bi-Lo, etc..) http://www.pauladeenmagazine.com/
Oh & thats about my signature line. Acually I came up with it in a forum we were talking about selling scratch carrot cakes. I have noticed alot around here that all of us think alike. So instead of "Great minds think alike"~~ "Cake minds think alike"
I just love it! ![]()
It will be. Grab one for yourself too. There is PLENTY of yummy recipies in there. Oh & she has a Christmas one out too. Its 7.99 & its really good.
You'll love it ![]()
Jamie the oldest one is married, to that beautiful tall girl. Bobby the younger, shorter one is single

I thought is was the other way around. Oh well. I think the younger one is cute.
You just may be right. (now that I think about it.
)
Yeah, I subscribed to her new magazine, Its great. I have to say that I like the magazine a lot better than the show. She has really gotten cheesy, and almost sleezy. I liked her a lot better a couple of years ago.
And don't ya just get sick of hearing about MICHAEL!???? I love my hubby too, but I don't mention him every other sentence I speak!
OK, I feel better now. Whew....... I've been wanting to say that for a while. Thanks for this thread!
Unfortunately, Paula has lowered herself and fallen into the smut filled programming. I saw one new show, and that was enough for me. I hate that she has gone to the dark side, I really enjoyed watching her other show, she had such a nice friendly personality, but perhaps thisnew show is her true side. As for the rest of the foodnetwork clowns, they can wrap them all up and stuff them in a turkey.
Perhaps we should all e-mail the Food Network and say something about her show before her ratings go so far down it is taken off. I was so excited when I heard the theme of the show because she makes things we all can do easily. I have already e-mailed them and I would bet they have received a bunch after the last show. I may tune in tonight or not.
i love paula and i like her personality, but i don't like how she portrays herself on her new show. the one i saw today was the best one i saw. no bleeped words, not a lot of sexual stuff, and a lot more cooking. i think she should go back to her old way of behaving. that's the paula that everyone loves and that's the one that got her on the food network in the first place.
I agree totally! We use to sit around at dinner parties laughing and talking about her. I was not only disappointed that something on the FOOD NETWORK had to be bleeped and it came out of her mouth. I was embarassed for her.
