I have a potential customer who wants a 3D motorcycle cake for her son's 2nd bday in October. I have it on good authority that she is willing to pay whatever it takes to get him this cake. She needs to feed about 35 people, but I have no idea what to charge her. I saw a shop online that does 3D cakes starting at $4/serving but I have no idea if that's considered a lot of money or not. That's more than I charge for wedding cakes, but this cake is going to take tons of time to make. Any ideas?

I saw between $4 and $6. Its not too much money because its a lot of work and technically harder than a wedding cake. Dont feel bad to charge her for it. If its one thing Ive learned is not be afraid to charge because every time you give someone a "deal" they seem to think they can take advantage of you.

I would go with about $5 a serving if she is willing to pay it. I have alot of cakes I have spent more time on then wedding cakes.
