I have a request for a Swedish-themed grooms cake. Does anyone have any ideas? All I can think of is doing the Swedish flag (which isn't super exciting), or swedish meatballs (maybe not formal enough for a wedding!).
Any ideas? Does anyone know anything about Swedish weddings?

It is a grooms cake... what about the Swedish bakini team? Too Much? You could put all the girls around the flag or around him....

or a giant size swedish fish! (like the candies!) or even a cake that looks like a package of them!

if you live near an IKEA store, hit the food shop for lots of ideas.

a traditional Swedish cake is called a princess cake or princess torte. Here's a recipe:

How about using a Dala Horse for the design? It would look gorgeous on a chocolate cake, as the colors are bright red-orange, blue, green, and white. Or whatever you want to make it. I'm sure you can find a picture of one on-line. I have lots of examples from a catalog by "Stabo", a scandanavian store in Minnesota.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I especially like the idea of the dala horse, since the bride is a horse fanatic and the groom is swedish...It is the perfect comprimise!
